Every trailer comes with the full script with useful definitions of difficult words. Plus there are cloze activities and discussion questions that can be completed for self-study or in a class situation.

The Voices project has been nominated for various awards and represents a fantastic cultural archive of information about the UK.

Another entry in our current top 10 for the BBC. VideoNation offers teachers and students another fantastic archive of rich information about the people and culture of the UK. VideoNation is a huge archive of videoclips uploaded by people from all over the UK documenting interesting things about their lives.

One of the nicest things about the internet is being able to listen to radio shows wherever they are in the world. A Way With Words is a rare gem of a show for English language teachers. Broadcast by KPBS, a radio station from San Diego USA, every week the show offers a lively and light-hearted look at some really interesting language issues.

GoogleEarth, like most things Google, is an incredible invention. With this amazing tool you can fly around the world faster than Superman and zoom in from outer space right down to your house in seconds. This offers unlimited potential in the classroom. For example, in a multinational class students can show and share where they are from. You do need to download the GoogleEarth program to use this service.

With GoogleEarth the whole world is your oyster!



The Discovery channel is another one of the big media companies that are providing huge amounts of their content online. The Discovery channel has loads of sub-channels and programs and this provides a rich archive of video clips for you to view anywhere in the world.
